Once a month a group of ladies gather at my house for tea,coffee,cake and lots of chatting, some of which is about knitting!!!.
The group is made of a mixture of age groups and both hand and machine knitters. We discuss what we have made in the past month, what we are currently working and generally try to inspire each other. I try to have something new to show the ladies each month. For example one month I showed them how to do Swiss Darning and then the next month everyone brought a garment that they have started or completed with a Swiss Darned motif on it. Most of these garments were then donated to charity. Some of the ladies have gone on to be quite proficient in Swiss Darning while some of them really didn't enjoy doing it.
I hope to be posting pictures of both the ladies and examples of the work that they do on this page in the future.
I will also be telling
you about what subjects we are covering at our monthly meetings.
The next Knitters Club meeting will be on the 26 April 2001and
the theme will be Cut & Sew V-neck Bands.
